An introduction to the University of the Third Age movement
u3as are learning co-operatives of people who are retired, semi-retired or have finished raising their family, and there are no age limits. We have a general meeting each month where Various speakers give presentations on many and various subjects. There are also many interest groups which are run by the membership and have meeting on a monthly basis, to see the full range of current groups look at the "Groups" page and then click on any group to see the activities both past and future that the groups run each month
We draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of the members to organise and run interest groups, in accordance with the wishes of the membership.
The u3a approach is learning and associating for sheer pleasure - there are no assessments to undertake or qualifications to be gained. Joining a u3a is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

We warmly welcome new members to our friendly Third Age Group at any time of the year. If you enjoy company and would like interesting things to do, challenge yourself to learn or share your knowledge and skills with others, do join us. The annual membership costs £10 per person.
