Penny Adie’s talk about one of the finest cathedral choirs in the country enlightens listeners as to the complexities of running a professional choral group with performances on both BBC 2 and Radio 3, singing services in front of royalty, producing CDs - and finding time for the children (some of whom are only 8yrs old) to let off steam. And there’s Christmas to think of too...
Penny was Artistic Director of The Two Moors Festival which she founded with her late husband in 2001 to bring back cheer following foot and mouth disease. Prior to that, her many concert tours with artists such as Julian Lloyd Webber throughout the Middle East became legendary. She was appointed MBE in 2004.
She is a Trustee of Exeter Cathedral Music Foundation which supports 50% of the annual £500k to sustain the music at Exeter Cathedral.
