A cycling group for all - whether you are a beginner or a ‘long ago returner.’ The cycle group currently meets on the third (second in December) Monday of the month, 9.30. We generally do around 20 miles in the rolling mid-Devon hills with a stop for coffee and cake. Numbers vary from 4 to 12 and around half the peddlers have e-bikes. A gentler beginners' and returners' group didn't survive lockdown, but it can easily be revived if there is demand.
We welcome new riders for either group, e-bikes also welcome.
Anybody wishing to join or just find more about the group then please contact Colin by phoning him or by e-mail using the email link for coordinator as seen above.

Next Ride: The next ride will be on Monday 15 December.
November Ride: Although 5 of us set off from the Town Square, we were joined by others along the route so that by the time we reached Kennerleigh PO and Stores we were 10. Kennerleigh Stores re opened earlier this year. It is a lovely, light, welcoming venue, with tables for coffee and cake, tempting gifts, groceries, and a toilet. On the way back we took these photos at Linda Lever's bench on Sandford Millennium Green before choosing to cycle back either up the road or along the Millennium Cycle Path.
U3A Cycle Group Wednesday 12th January
Eight members of the ‘advanced’ group enjoyed an unusually blue sky January day for a pedal from Sandford around Thorverton and Cheriton Fitzpaine. The route took in the formidable Raddon Hill for the ebike owners to show off their machines and a welcome stop for coffee and cake at Thornes Farm. The photo was taken near Brampford Speke showing the sort of weather that the organiser always lays on!
