Our aims are very simple, to enjoy the pleasures of wine and to educate ourselves, on all the different aspects, of wine tasting, growing of vines and the fermentation process and naturally the regions they all come from.

One principle, is to include an element of adventure and to try some of the quality lesser know wines.

The society is in it’s formative stage, and welcomes all u3a’s members ideas and suggestions. Including the types of wine you would like to sample, wine events themselves and how we ensure we cater for most tastes.

Events in 2026:

March 2026: At our wine appreciation meeting in March we went to Italy. Complete with pizza from Exe valley pizza Company. A very good time was had by all!!!
