This is a separate group to the current Pub Lunch Group and will aim to organise Sunday pub lunch meetings at various Pubs within the local area. We will attempt to arrange the meals at venue's which still provide a varied menu on Sundays for those amongst us who would like something different to the standard "meat and 2 Veg option. Previous meals this year
July 2026: This meal saw us returning once again to the Stoke Canon inn out at Stoke Canon, This is a community run pub where the local villagers have taken over the pub and run the bar by a volunteer rota, the food side of the pub is however run by a professional Chef to ensure a common standard of food. As always the food was very good and the meals served in good time all of the 11 members who attended were well satisfied.
June 2026: For Junes event we visited the Devonshire Dumpling out at Morchard Road. 17 members attended and a good and comfortable time was had by all, as usual the pub offered a standard Sunday Lunch with a selection of meats or several items from their normal menu for those of us who fancied something different.
May 2026: For this meal we went back to The Fox and Hounds Hotel out at Eggesford, this has always been a popular location, the carvery type Sunday lunch has always been well received. Attendance was sixteen people who all enjoyed a well cooked and presented lunch, a selection or 3 different meats with a vegetarian option was supplied, the selection of vegetables was large and everybody had a good time.
April 2026: This time we attended the New Inn at Coleford, Again fifteen members attended including a couple of people new to the group, the meal was a standard Sunday lunch type with a selection of meats available.
March 2026: This month we met at the Rose and Crown out at Sandford. Fifteen members enjoyed a very convivial time with the standard excelent food and service provided by this pub, we will be visiting here again this year possibly for a Friday meal group.
Feb 2026: The First event of the year was held at the Ship Inn at Crediton, Sixteen members attended and were treated to a very good lunch served by an attentive staff. the food as normal was very good and the quantities great, a large selection of vegetables was provided.
